Job Description:

The Senior Leader, Business Analytics will drive the transformation agenda for the Business Intelligence function, focused on automating business and operational reports, building new dashboards/ business insights and supporting development for BI/ Analytics products. This role will interface with business and client teams, translate outcomes/ objectives into requirements and manage the technical team’s delivery against these objectives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, who is adept at managing high performance technical teams, strong technical know-how & Business Intelligence experience and can influence across various levels of the organization to deliver on objectives for the RETPS business.

Job Description

  • Own the BI Transformation Agenda and Roadmap – Manage the team to deliver the transformation of this function into a BI/Analytics team over the next 18 months.
  • Establish BI prioritization/ demand management framework and lead a Governance steering committee to set priorities, objectives, timelines and ongoing delivery to the business. Support the team’s efforts in forecasting/ evaluating requirements and creating development estimates and timelines
  • Manage a team of strong technical professionals that are developing reporting solutions and analytics products for our organization. Drive a high-performance culture, focused on delivery and outcomes. Be a mentor and invest in talent development and promote career and personal growth for our team members. Foster a culture of innovation, automation and transformation within the team.
  • Apply agile development methods/ techniques to iteratively develop and consistently/ timely deliver on solutions to the business/ clients – Focus on driving value to the business every 2 weeks (agile sprints), pushing features, updates, functions – working towards an ultimate goal/ solution
  • Drives a structured approach and uses data driven analysis to quantify problems and identifies solutions across a variety of business functions/ areas.
  • Highly proficient in exerting influence within matrix organizations with a focus on execution of outlined objectives.
  • Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ MIS/ Data Sciences or related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years proven experience in building business intelligence and analytics solutions
  • 5+ years in managing technical BI teams
  • Proficient/ strong analytical skills with an understanding of data models and how they are used in building BI/Analytics solutions
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to think logically and critically to define problems, develop solutions and recommendations; Creative/ out of the box-thinking
  • Experience with iterative development methodology (i.e. Agile, Extreme Programing) is preferred
  • Excellent ability to engage, build relationships, establish trust, influence and drive alignments across various levels of stakeholders including executive management
  • Exceptional facilitation and negotiating skills
  • Experience leading organizations through significant change and transformation
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills (clear, concise & structured communications)
  • Self-directed and results-oriented; strong bias for execution
