Description SHIFT: Weekends Only SCHEDULE: Part-time Located in central Austin, St. David's Medical Center includes a 350-bed acute care hospital and a 64- bed rehabilitation hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. Department Description 3East is a 63-bed unit. This unit sees high risk and low risk ante partum, post partum, as well as GYN surgical care (cesarean sections, tubal ligation, emergency hysterectomy, dilation and curettage, post anesthesia and post partum high risk care). Position Description Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor Nursing Unit, and according to hospital policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients. Qualifications Education Required: Graduation from an NLN school of professional nursing. Preferred: Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree. Prior post partum nursing experience; computer skills Experience Preferred: Experience as a staff nurse in an acute care setting. Credentials Required: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas. BLS and ACLS Certification; NRP provider within 6 months of hire. Preferred: Certification in area of specialty.
